Brief: Using a photocopying machine and text provided create a fold out poster for the Design Museum conference called 'The Visible Word', using typography only.

My approach to this project linked directly to the conference title 'The Visible Word'. My idea was to making the words visible throught the hourney of openign the book. I created folds and cuts within the piece, which hide and reveal information as you fold it open a page at a time. The folded up poster works as a book, as information is relayed to the viewer a section at a time. This can then be opened fully to reveal a poster.

This poster was handmade. All text has be enlarged or minimised on a photocopier from a pre set text. This process required me as a designer to really engage with the piece on a raw and basic level. Rearing away form using computer softwares, I allowed myself to take real time over making crucial typographic decisions.
